- Rotating on-call responsibilities with rapid 30-minute response requirement
In this Pre-Op Holding/ASU setting, you'll be integral to a close-knit team supporting 9 Preop beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. Working with state-of-the-art equipment such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler, patient scales, and bladder scanners, you'll gain hands-on experience in a technologically advanced, patient-focused environment. The unit is well-staffed, featuring seasoned RNs who foster professional development and knowledge sharing.
This assignment is perfect for nurses eager to enhance their skillset with a wide variety of procedures including recoveries from Urology, GYN, and other SDS patients; pre-op preparations for Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, or CT; and outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions. Adaptability and a strong focus on patient experience are essential.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent acute-care hospital experience as a Pre-Op RN
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- Strong communication skills; patient experience mindset
- Pre-op or related outpatient experience preferred
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR is a plus
