Our accounting team plays a critical role in supporting equipment sales, rentals, service operations, and international transactions. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong NetSuite experience who wants to be part of a collaborative team and contribute to a growing company.
About the Role
This position reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company. The role initially focuses on Accounts Payable, allowing you to become familiar with our systems, vendors, and business operations with further accounting functions to follow.

Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 – Build a Strong Foundation in Accounts Payable
You will begin by taking ownership of our Accounts Payable function, learning our systems, vendors, and accounting processes while becoming a key member of the Accounting team.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the complete Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt through payment.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
- Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
- Ensure invoices are properly approved and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors while responding to inquiries.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist and prepare sales tax returns.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready accounting records.
- Assist the Controller with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting support.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Throughout your career with Generator Source, you will continue to broaden your accounting knowledge by:
- Supporting the Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Assisting with 1099 preparation and vendor W-9 administration.
- Supporting annual audits and responding to audit requests.
- Maintaining accurate vendor and customer master records in NetSuite.
- Providing backup support for other accounting functions as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Two or more years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable.
- Experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Accounts Receivable.
- Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns.
- Experience supporting annual financial audits.
