West Orange Nurseries, a family-owned company serving Central Florida for over 45 years, is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver to assist with transporting landscape materials and equipment as a part-time and on-call, as-needed basis.
Responsibilities include picking up and delivering trees, plants, irrigation materials, loaders, equipment, and other landscape supplies between local nurseries, vendors, and commercial construction jobsites throughout Florida. Deliveries are made throughout Central Florida and, as project needs require, to other areas of the state, including the East Coast, West Coast, and occasionally the Florida Panhandle. All driving is performed in our company-owned 2015 Peterbilt 389 sleeper cab.
This is a part-time job and sometimes on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours.
Our workload varies depending on project demands. Some weeks we may need you Monday through Friday, while other weeks we may only need you for a day or two—or not at all.
This position is ideal for someone who:
- Wants flexible, supplemental income.
- Is retired but still enjoys driving.
- Is semi-retired or self-employed and has open availability.
- Doesn't need a guaranteed 40-hour work week.

Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience
- Experience maneuvering tractor-trailers in tight spaces, nurseries, equipment yards, and construction sites preferred
- Ability to safely secure and transport landscape materials and equipment
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
