Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Provide mental health and substance abuse treatment utilizing motivational interviewing and relapse prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Colorado OBH, HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and clinical research data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate case management, conduct mental health assessments, and support patients’ overall well-being through integrated care approaches.
- Utilize telehealth platform for remote therapy sessions while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and ensuring patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Must be LAC with a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; LPCC or LSW minimum requirement. Licensure as LPC/LCSW is also acceptable.
- Proven experience working with adults in outpatient or inpatient settings;.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; experience working with co-occurring disorders is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice in behavioral health treatment.
