Position Overview
Lightning Landscape Inc is seeking dependable and safety-focused individuals to join our Winter Snow Removal Crew. We are hiring for multiple positions, including:
- Plow Truck Operators
- Skid Steer Operators
- Loader Operators
- Bobcat Operators
- Shovelers / Sidewalk Crew Members
Our team plays a critical role in keeping commercial properties safe and accessible throughout the winter season. These positions are on-call and weather-dependent, with work occurring during snow and ice events, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Operate plow trucks, loaders, skid steers, or Bobcats to remove snow from parking lots, roads, and driveways.
- Manually shovel and apply de-icing materials to sidewalks, walkways, and entryways where machines cannot reach.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers and supervisors throughout each snow event.
- Work efficiently to meet safety and quality standards under varying weather conditions.
- Load, transport, and apply salt or other de-icing materials as directed.
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and adherence to company and client safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in snow removal or equipment operation preferred (training available for motivated candidates).
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred for plow and loader operators).
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours depending on weather.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites or designated meeting points.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Positive attitude and readiness to work in challenging winter conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.
- Able to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all winter weather conditions, including overnight shifts.
