Job Summary

Duties
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient service
- Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications using aseptic techniques, and managing inventory to maintain optimal stock levels
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, USP 797 standards for sterile compounding, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA
- Conduct patient assessments to support clinical decision-making, including medication therapy reviews and immunization administration
- Maintain accurate documentation in Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other pharmacy software platforms
- Lead initiatives in clinical pharmacy services such as pain management, immunizations, pediatric care, and LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy operations
- Monitor pharmacy operations for regulatory adherence, including drug regulation policies and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant state board requirements
- Extensive experience practicing as a pharmacist in retail setting
- Proven ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles
- Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Deep understanding of drug regulation laws, clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
