Dump Truck Driver
JOB SUMMARY: To pickup and deliver raw materials to concrete plants in a timely manner.
REPORTS TO: Director of AML
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pickup and deliver raw materials to Advance plants in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain the proper weights in loads as required by law.
- Keep truck clean both inside bed and cab of the truck.
- Drivers should be courteous to all customers and customer representatives.
- Material delivery tickets must be filled out completely and signed.
- All delivery tickets must be turned in to the designated areas everyday. You will be held responsible for any lost tickets.
- Daily vehicle inspections must be performed at the beginning and end of each shift in every vehicle you drive during a day.
- DVIR reports for your inspections must be turned in with paperwork everyday for every vehicle driven. You will be held responsible for any lost DVIR’s.
- Must comply with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Personal protective equipment must be worn in all designated areas.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving (CDL) experience preferred.
- Required valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) (Class A or B).
- Required valid DOT medical certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Dump truck.
- Outside work.
- Continuous exposure to heat or cold, loud noise, trucks, heavy equipment, and environmental elements such as chemicals, vibrations, dirt, or dust.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting are required.
- Frequent climbing in and out of truck.
- Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods of time.
- Frequent lifting may be required up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent reaching above shoulders.
Job Type: Full-time
