Duties
- Greet customers warmly, offering product information and assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular inventory checks
- Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive product presentations aligned with store standards
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and managing cash drawers with precision
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support in supervising team members during busy periods, ensuring smooth store operations and excellent customer service
- Participate in product knowledge training to stay informed about store offerings and grocery store experience if applicable
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially within grocery or specialty stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette for professional interactions
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently and accurately
