Mold Changeover Technician - Toolroom
Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Polymer Molding Inc. is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Mold Changeover Technician to join our Toolroom team. This position is responsible for mold changeovers, mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting injection molding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Review production schedules and prepare molds for changeovers
- Perform mold insert changeovers and set date codes as needed
- Ensure molds are production ready for injection molding operations
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain molds after production runs
- Perform minor mold repairs and fabrication of mold components, fixtures, and gauges
- Clean and repair hot manifold and sprue systems
- Track and organize molds, inserts, and tooling equipment
- Safely operate forklifts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other Toolroom duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of tooling, manufacturing equipment, or injection molding processes
- Ability to identify and solve mechanical problems
- Basic math skills
- Ability to safely operate forklifts
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of experience in injection molding, mold setup, tooling, maintenance, or manufacturing
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds with assistance when necessary
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
