Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of aggregates, soil, debris, and other materials. Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently across various construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Load and unload materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris using appropriate equipment like excavators, loaders, or dozers when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the dump truck to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to optimize material delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate logs of daily trips, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance records
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on trucks and related equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
.must be able to drive manual transmission
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in construction or similar environments
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and tankers
- Ability to operate additional machinery including horizontal drills and paving equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) heavy equipment operations preferred
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects involving grading, paving, or water management tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading materials and inspecting vehicles
