Job Summary
Set inside a beautifully restored Victorian home, Viola's brings together the warmth of Southern hospitality with the charm of a French bistro in one of the San Gabriel Valley's most beloved neighborhoods. With small plates, brunch and dinner service, beer, wine, and cocktails, we're creating a space full of character, energy, and heart.
We are currently building our opening team and looking for people who are serious about hospitality and genuinely enjoy taking care of others.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, sinks, floors, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances while adhering to safety guidelines
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots or bulk supplies safely and efficiently
Requirements
- 2 years minimum prior experience in food service or restaurant environments.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Basic understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a secure work environment
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail in maintaining hygiene standards
- Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
