We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative SLP to join a school-based team supporting K–12 students with developmental disabilities in the Phoenix area. Position Overview
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students in both classroom and small-group settings. You will collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to develop communication strategies that help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to K–12 students
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Write evaluation reports and contribute to IEP development
- Program, monitor, and maintain AAC devices and communication systems
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Complete Medicaid billing and required service records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Promote functional communication skills that enhance independence and classroom participation
Qualifications
Required
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Arizona Department of Education Certificate
- Ability to obtain an AHCCCS Provider Number and NPI for Medicaid billing
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Arizona Hearing Screening Certificate
- Experience working with AAC devices and communication systems
- Experience supporting students with developmental disabilities
