Duties
- Process payroll for all employees using various payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other supported platforms
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws by accurately calculating wages, taxes, benefits, and deductions
- Reconcile payroll data with accounting records using spreadsheets and accounting software like QuickBooks and general ledger systems
- Handle payroll tax filings, deposits, and reporting in accordance with government regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing data entry and recordkeeping tasks
- Collaborate with Human Resources to administer benefits programs and update employee records within HRIS platforms
- Perform account reconciliations related to payroll expenses, taxes, and benefits to ensure financial accuracy
- Support audits by providing detailed reports on payroll transactions and related financial data
- Assist with time & attendance system management such as Kronos or similar platforms to ensure accurate tracking of hours worked
- Support non-profit or governmental accounting procedures when applicable, including accounts payable/receivable processing
Experience
- 3 years of experience
- Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting environment or similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of payroll systems including Workday, Paychex, ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or equivalent platforms
- Strong understanding of employment law, tax law related to payroll taxes, and labor law compliance
