Mira is looking for Food Runners to join our team! Mira is a Mediterranean restaurant located in the Elmwood Village. The menu highlights the cuisines of Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea. We will have a strong focus on house made pastas, charcoal grilled meats & vegetables and a Mediterranean focused beverage program.
The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality. Food runners are essential for ensuring that guests receive their food in an efficient matter. They need to be energetic and have a positive attitude with the goal to assist the servers & chefs to provide guests with a wonderful experience. Responsibilities
- Work with servers & kitchen to create a seamless experience for guests
- Anticipate servers & guests needs and have guest recognition
- Have comprehension of the food menu
- Execute service with efficiency to create an overall positive guest experience
- Maintain a sense of urgency
- Understand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly
- Stand for the entirety of scheduled shift
- Walk/move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift
- Be able to hold warm plates in order to deliver food to guests in a timely fashion
Qualifications
- Restaurant experience is preferred
- Availability weeknights & weekends is preferred
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
