This job is based out of our Tustin office.
We are seeking a Healthcare Technician to join our team supporting projects in hospitals, medical office buildings, surgery centers, and other healthcare facilities. This position is ideal for someone with minimal experience who is looking to build a career in the low voltage industry.
Under the guidance of experienced technicians and foremen, you will assist with the installation, testing, and servicing of fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, and nurse call systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, mechanically inclined, and committed to performing quality work while maintaining a safe job site.
Schedule: Hours may vary, OT and weekends required as needed
Essential Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of low voltage systems in healthcare and commercial facilities.

Pull, route, secure, and label low voltage cable, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and fire alarm cable.

Assist with installing devices such as:
- Fire alarm devices

Security cameras (CCTV)
-
Card readers
-
Electric strikes and magnetic locks

Motion detectors
-
Nurse call stations and corridor lights
- Terminate cables under the direction of a lead technician.

Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning systems.

Read and follow blueprints, device layouts, and installation drawings.

Maintain organized job sites and properly handle tools, materials, and equipment.

Complete daily work assignments while following company quality standards.

Follow OSHA safety regulations, infection control procedures, and healthcare facility requirements.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 0-2 years in construction and/or low voltage installation.
- 2+ years in construction and low voltage installation (preferred).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Result oriented; ability to achieve the target within given time.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and project specifications.
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend English.
- Working knowledge of construction/low voltage.
- Customer service driven.
- Fire Life Safety knowledge (preferred).
- Ability to operate trade tools such as meters, hand tools and power tools.
Other Requirements
- Valid California driver license
- Proof of valid car insurance
- Proof of immunizations and TB testing.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and travel out of area, as needed
- Punctuality and regular attendance (required).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, high rise buildings, and/or hospitals with patient contact.
- Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
- Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, daily
- Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
- Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
