Asphalt superintendent
Coordinate, plan all phases of earthwork and asphalt paving. Cost control, calculations of materials, calculate and design grades where necessary. Record keeping, ordering materials, coordination of subcontractors, and trucking. Control and expedite crew efficiencies, and quality control. Maintain a safe work environment. Bi-Lingual is a plus. Clean driving record mandatory. Able to train and coach crewmen.
Must have a positive attitude, be innovative, energetic, and a troubleshooter. Strong customer relations. Very strong math skills, plan reading skills, logistical skills, and clear communication skills.
Requires 5 years experience, computer literate, MOT knowledge, asphalt and earthwork certifications, strong math and geometry skills. Strong plan reading skills. Able to use a laser and calculate grades.
