Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN/LPN 7P-7A Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during the overnight shift. This leadership role requires a highly organized professional with a strong background in patient care, team management, and clinical procedures. The supervisor will ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing services, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective coordination among staff members. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise and a proactive approach to staff supervision, fostering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff working during the 7 PM to 7 AM shift
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards and facility policies.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, medication administration, and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols
- Oversee emergency response procedures including airway management, IV insertion, and acute pain management when necessary.
- Conduct regular audits
- Support staff development through training on new protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in nursing roles in long term care
- Supervisory or nurse management experience demonstrating effective team leadership and workflow coordination.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics in long-term care or assisted living environments; familiarity with dementia care and memory support is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of physiology principles related to patient assessment, medication administration, tube feeding management, and ventilator support.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
