We are seeking an energetic, very reliable, and extremely safety conscience Loading & Yard Supervisor to provide oversight for the functions and safety of all Tear Down, Stripping, Loading, and Yard activities ensuring all products are ready for shipping. This supervisor is also responsible for ensuring all equipment required for these activities operates in a safe and effective manner. Our Loading & Yard Supervisor will make recommendations for continuous departmental improvement and provide detailed documentation of all departmental activities while keeping all loading and yard storage work areas well organized and safe. During slower business periods, this supervisor will handle scheduling of broker loads for our CDL A Truck Drivers and also provide assistance to the Production team as needed. Review and organization to maintain Daily Driver Logs for the Transportation team is also part of the responsibilities of the person handling this position. Workweek is Monday through Friday with a start time of 3am working 9 or more hours daily based on operational needs. Saturday work may be necessary on occasion.
Loading & Yard Supervisor must be able to:
- Work OT;
- Move/lift 50 lbs. occasionally;
- Provide leadership, oversight, training and development to all Strip & Load and Yard team members;
- Demonstrate the ability to competently perform all functions and operate all equipment within this team and act as a backup for any Loading or Yard team members;
- Stand, Walk, bend constantly and crouch, crawl, and climb (including ladders), twist, and kneel frequently;
- Perform job functions indoors and outdoors in all of the weather elements through all seasons and in noisy work environments;
- Have a high awareness of safety for themselves and others;
- Communicate clearly and often with all team members, departments, and management both verbally and in written communications.
- Perform basic computer skills for operating MS Office products and ERP System.
- Work independently and as part of a team;
- Report to work on time every day. Reliable transportation to work on a daily basis is a MUST!
The right candidate will have experience w/ driving, backing, and parking a semi-truck (manual transmission) with trailer (loaded and empty) in tight spaces with uneven pavement areas, have heavy forklift operation experience and have experience operating an Overhead Crane. A CDL A driver’s license and/or forklift operator certification is preferred but not required.
Weaver Superior Walls, LLC is a safety oriented and drug free workplace. Pay range for this position is $30 to $35 per hour or based on prior experience and solid work history!
