Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 8:00-2:30
One Friday per month 8:00-12:00 for staff and planning meeting
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students using the provided curriculum.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their child's development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve educational strategies.
- Address individual student needs through behavior management techniques and special education strategies when necessary.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
Requirements
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early literacy education practices.
- Strong classroom management skills to effectively guide young learners.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Excellent communication skills to foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred but not required.
