Summary
This is a part-time position with an emphasis on teamwork, hospitality, and cleaning tasks. The Cafe is a high volume, fast paced work environment that commands excellent communication and a proactive, outgoing personality while serving our team and guests. Cafe Attendant is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the lobby, outdoor seating area, bar, and kitchen clean and organized, as well as assisting the kitchen, baking, and barista teams with tasks and cleaning. Professionalism, proactive mindset, and excellent hospitality are essential to this role.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and inviting lobby space through clearing and wiping tables, keeping bus bins empty, and sweeping.
- Maintain clean bathrooms through stocking, sweeping, and cleaning every hour.
- Execute cafe dishes in a timely and efficient manner while keeping the dishpit organized, and resetting clean dishes. Assist in clearing dishes as they accumulate in work areas.
- Take out trash, recycling, and glass throughout the cafe as needed with special attention to lobby trash.
- Assisting delivery drivers in organizing shipments to preserve walkways
- Assist in putting away orders
- Occasionally assisting in basic prep or bar tasks upon request.
Hospitality
- Arrive on time, with a genuine positive outlook, ready to serve guests and team members.
- Deliver an amazing customer experience through prompt service, attention to detail, and genuine connection.
- Continue guest experience through extending hospitality in the lobby and dining areas. Clearing tables and trash as needed.
- Maintain a perspective of charitable assumption, that assumes the best intentions of others, despite circumstances.
- Focus on being trustworthy, reliable, proactive, and aware of personal strengths and ask for help when needed, and be aware of the needs of others.
- Carry confidence and respect, towards yourself and others, in the way you speak, dress, and act. Ensure that all conversations are appropriate and geared towards customers.
- Participate in team conversations, meetings, and events
- Check Slack daily to keep up to date on cafe related updates.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
