Commercial HVAC Technician

6:00 am - 6:00 pm
$22.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers.
- Diagnose and repair refrigerated water chillers, air conditioning systems, and HVAC electrical components.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine root cause solutions.
- Test HVAC equipment to verify proper operation after repairs.
- Operate hand and power tools required for maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document daily repair activities.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and submit repair part requisitions as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned to support plant operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- EPA Universal Certification
- Journeyman HVAC Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC repair and troubleshooting experience
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
- Ability to work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise while wearing required PPE
- Ability to work rotating shifts and mandatory overtime as needed
PREFERRED
- Technical or trade school training
- NATE, ASHRAE, or OSHA certifications
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
