Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our team and support our financial operations. Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee payroll management using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro to ensure accurate employee compensation and tax compliance.
- Conduct data entry with precision, supporting budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities.
- Assist with accounts analysis, including credit analysis and account reconciliation to maintain the accuracy of financial statements.
- Support compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams on financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries to ensure clarity and accuracy in all transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; experience with Workday or Ceridian is a plus.
- Knowledge of payroll systems including ADP or Paychex; familiarity with Kronos or UltiPro is advantageous.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and general ledger accounting.
- Ability to perform detailed data entry and bookkeeping tasks accurately under tight deadlines.
- Experience working within public accounting environments or non-profit organizations is preferred.
- Excellent math skills combined with analytical thinking for credit analysis and account analysis tasks.
- Familiarity with tax regulations related to payroll and corporate taxation; experience with governmental reporting standards is desirable.
