Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collections Representative to join our rent to own team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients. Your expertise in medical collections, financial concepts, and customer service will drive efficiency in our revenue cycle management processes. Responsibilities
- Contact clients via phone and written correspondence to follow up on overdue accounts, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Analyze accounts data to identify delinquent accounts and develop effective collection strategies
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients while maintaining professionalism and adherence to company policies
- Review and process accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software and financial software tools
- Reconcile accounts by reviewing debits & credits, ensuring accuracy in account analysis and financial records
- Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities, including account status updates and correspondence logs
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure all payments are accurately recorded and applied to the correct accounts
- Assist with revenue cycle management tasks such as billing, collections, and account analysis to optimize cash flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience in collections or related accounts receivable roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
- Knowledge of rent to own collections and terminology
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with customer service skills to handle sensitive client interactions effectively
- Familiarity with financial software and accounting software used for account reconciliation and revenue cycle management
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes professionally and efficiently
- Basic math skills necessary for account analysis, debits & credits calculations, and financial assessments
- Experience with telemarketing or outbound calling campaigns is a plus
