Local Silver Mint is growing, and we are excited to welcome a reliable detail oriented inventory shipping, and receiving specialist to our team. In this role, you will help support the daily flow of precious metals products by receiving inventory, maintaining accurate product accounts, preparing customer orders, and packing and shipping items with care. You will work in a secure mint warehouse, inventory and shipping environment where attention to detail, dependability and careful handling matter every day. What You WIll Do
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, invoice packing slips and internal inventory records.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for accuracy, condition, labeling and packaging requirements.
- Accurately count, record, organize and store, precious metals inventory, including coins, bars, rounds and related products.
- Pick, pack, seal, label and prepare customer orders for shipment using approved procedures and shipping materials.
- Create shipping labels, prepare documentation and maintain records for outgoing shipments .
- Coordinate with carriers and follow internal procedures for secure shipping, pick up and delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and promptly report discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, or irregularities to management.
- Assist with cycle counts, full inventory counts reconciliations, and product organization.
- Keep the shipping receiving an inventory areas, clean, organized, secure and efficient.
- Follow company security procedures for handling, high value merchandise and confidential customer information.
- Communicate professionally with team members regarding order status, inventory needs, shipping issues and receiving updates.
- Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to help the team meet customer and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass any required background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain organized records.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory systems, shipping software, spreadsheet or data entry.
- Ability to handle valuable products with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Clear communication skills and a positive service oriented attitude.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving inventory control, order fulfillment or warehouse operations.
- Experience packing fragile, collectible or high value items for shipment .
- Familiarity with carrier systems such as USPS UPS, FedEx or similar shipping platforms.
- Experience with inventory management software or point of sales systems.
- Forklift, pallet jack or warehouse equipment experience a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance or equipment as needed .
- Ability to perform repetitive packing, labeling, counting and data entry tasks, accurately.
- Comfortable, working in a secure inventory, shipping, receiving or Warehouse environment.
