Summary
Friends Academy Athletic Department is looking to hire a qualified Assistant Coach for our fall Varsity Football Team. At Friends Academy, athletics are at the core of a balanced educational experience and hold equal footing with academics and the arts in the overall development of our future global citizens. We are searching for someone with excellent communication skills who thrives in a vibrant educational environment, embraces change, and has a deep interest in our Quaker mission and educational philosophy.
Our League: Our football athletes compete with great success in Section VIII. Though we are one of the smallest schools in the league – and the only independent school – we've fielded championship teams in boys football. For Football we are paired with Roslyn High School and practice at Roslyn High School. In addition to Football, we currently have 20 Varsity Sports and 10 middle school sports offered.

We are looking for bright, energetic, and creative candidates who are current with best practices within secondary school athletics, with a focus on 21st-century learning skills. An undergraduate degree is required. Successful secondary school Football coaching experience is desired, including experience with athletic administration. A successful candidate must have strong organizational, time management, and technology skills. We are looking for someone who is student-centered and excited to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and the community.
Education and/or Experience:
Experience coaching high school sports is preferred.
Bachelors Degree Required
Background screening required (fingerprinting)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Guide the personal development of each student-athlete on the roster.
- Organize, communicate, and execute daily practice plans.
- Communicate weekly schedules to parents.
- Support athletes in the college recruiting process.
- Meet with the AD at the beginning and end of every season.
- Prepare and condition athletes.
- Lead game day equipment preparations and set up.
- Coordinate with Athletics to create social media content.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
