Technical Packaging & Crating Associate
Pay: $23-$26
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Packaging & Crating Associate to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will package high-value, precision-manufactured products using custom-built crates and specialized packaging methods to ensure products arrive safely and meet customer quality standards. This position combines hands-on packaging, light carpentry, and mechanical skills in both manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
Responsibilities
- Package finished products using custom-built crates, skids, and protective materials.
- Build custom shipping crates using hand and power tools.
- Perform cleanroom packaging while following contamination control procedures.
- Read and follow packaging drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Apply protective packaging materials including foam, shrink wrap, vapor barriers, and desiccants.
- Inspect products prior to packaging to verify quality and accuracy.
- Label, document, and verify shipments according to customer requirements.
- Stage completed products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, packaging, crating, or carpentry experience is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure, basic drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus but not required.
