Bridal Alterations Specialist(Part-Time)
Location: RCustom Bridal – Ephrata, PA
Pay: $18–24 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Approximately 20–32 hours
Typical Schedule
- Monday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Wednesday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Thursday: 10 AM – 3 PM
- Friday: 10 AM- 4 PM
Additional hours may become available based on workload and business needs.

RCustom Bridal Atelier is a modern bridal boutique specializing in wedding gowns, alterations, and custom bridal services. We are passionate about helping brides look and feel their best on one of the most important days of their lives.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bridal Alterations Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with sewing experience who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working independently, and values producing high-quality work.
Bridal experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate on bridal-specific alteration techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities
Alterations & Sewing
- Perform bridal and formal wear alterations
- Complete hemming, bustling, garment modifications, and repairs
- Perform hand sewing, finishing work, and garment construction tasks Learn and apply bridal alteration techniques and quality standards
- Operate sewing equipment safely and efficiently
- Meet alteration deadlines and production goals
Garment Preparation & Quality Control
- Prepare gowns for fittings and pickup appointments
- Review completed alterations for quality and accuracy
- Ensure gowns are properly stored, protected, and organized
- Organize completed garments for client pickup
- Assist in maintaining alteration timelines and workflow
Workroom Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sewing area
- Organize alteration supplies, fabrics, and materials
- Assist with the inventory of alteration-related supplies
- Help maintain an efficient and productive workroom environment
Team Support
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alteration deadlines are met Assist with seasonal workload and special projects as needed
- Perform additional duties and assist with other projects as assigned to support the needs of the business. Responsibilities are not limited to those listed above.
Qualifications
- Prior sewing experience required
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality standards Experience with garment construction, alterations, tailoring, costume design, fashion design, or related sewing work preferred
