Department: Operations
Reports to: HR Manager
Location: NE Washington, DC corporate office 5 days/week, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Compensation: $25.00 per hour, non-exempt role – overtime eligible

The Front Desk Coordinator provides day-to-day operational support for The UIP Companies, Inc. (UIP) a growing, vertically integrated real estate investment, development, asset and property management, and general contracting firm. This position serves as a primary point of contact for the corporate office and play an important role in maintaining a welcoming, organized workplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk by greeting and assisting employees, vendors, and residents
- Coordinate key vendor relationships, including building maintenance, office supply purveyors, cleaning, and sanitation vendor, etc.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and send outgoing mail and packages
- Daily maintenance of the appearance of common areas and meeting spaces, overseeing office supply orders and inventory, kitchen refreshments, as well as equipment and appliances, and coordinate replenishment or service as needed
- Coordinate the set-up and manage weekly breakfasts and lunches, and various corporate HQ staff events
- Assist with new hire set-up and clerical duties related to employee onboarding and terminations
- Respond to building and facility requests, alarms, and emergencies
- Perform additional administrative and operational responsibilities and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED) or higher
- 1+ years of experience in an office environment
- Experience with MS Office tools, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, vendors and residents
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills; quickly identifies issues, determines alternative solutions, and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and attention to detail
- Collaborative and flexible approach with a willingness to assist where needed
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
