POSITION SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of El Cilantrillo Restaurant. This executive leadership role oversees all Front of House and Back of House operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, profitability, regulatory compliance, and team development. The General Manager serves as the primary leader of the restaurant, fostering a culture of accountability, hospitality, integrity, and continuous improvement while driving sustainable business growth.
This position does not participate in tip distribution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide strategic leadership and oversee all daily restaurant operations.
· Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through outstanding service standards.
· Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, develop, discipline, and retain employees.
· Develop management team members through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
· Create labor schedules that meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.
· Monitor restaurant financial performance including sales, labor, food cost, profitability, and budgets.
· Review daily sales reports, cash handling procedures, POS reconciliation, and financial reporting.
· Oversee inventory management, purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, health department regulations, alcohol service laws, and company policies.
· Lead employee performance evaluations and corrective action processes.
· Maintain restaurant facilities, equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
· Partner with Human Resources and Executive Leadership on staffing, compliance, investigations, and employee relations.
· Drive community engagement, marketing initiatives, and local business partnerships.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
· Perform additional leadership responsibilities assigned by ownership.

Qualifications
· Minimum three years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant.
· Strong financial, operational, and business management skills.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
· Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
· Experience with POS systems, Microsoft Office, inventory management, and labor scheduling.

Physical Requirements

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
