We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Nurse Supervisor. This position is ideal for an organized, compassionate nurse who enjoys educating caregivers, ensuring quality care, and maintaining compliance with South Carolina regulations.

Position Summary
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical quality of services provided by our caregivers, conducting nursing assessments, developing and reviewing care plans, supervising caregiver performance, and ensuring compliance with South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH), South Carolina Medicaid (SCDHHS), and agency policies.
Although our agency provides non-medical home care services, the Nurse Supervisor plays an essential role in ensuring our clients receive safe, high-quality care and that caregivers have the guidance and support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client assessments and reassessments as required.
- Develop, review, and update individualized Plans of Care.
- Supervise Personal Care Aides (PCAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and caregivers.
- Conduct supervisory visits in clients' homes.
- Evaluate caregiver performance and provide coaching and education.
- Ensure compliance with South Carolina Medicaid and Department of Public Health regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with caregiver orientation, training, and competency evaluations.
- Communicate with physicians, case managers, hospitals, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Assist with incident investigations and documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Be available by phone for caregiver questions and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
QualificationsRequired
- Current, unrestricted South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
- Strong assessment and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout the Columbia and surrounding areas for supervisory visits.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to pass all required background screenings.
Preferred
- Home Health, Home Care, Hospice, or Case Management experience.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Experience working with Medicaid clients.
- Knowledge of South Carolina home care regulations.

Work Location
This position requires travel throughout the Columbia, Lexington, West Columbia, and surrounding South Carolina communities for client visits.
