Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the forklift and clamp truck to transport, stack, and retrieve goods, performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all loads are secure and safely handled. This position requires someone able to assist with production operations within the Extrusion department as well.
This is a 12-hour shift working 6:45a-7pm on a 48/36hr rotating schedule .This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on business needs and employee performance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve various materials and goods
- Conduct daily safety checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions
- Ensure Thermoforming lines (3) are always stocked with material for production operations
- Perform Inventory within department
- Follow all safety regulations, company guidelines, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with all facility safety procedures and food safety policies
- Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the warehouse
- Assist with day to day production operations
- Assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications:
-Experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, and electric pallet jack
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to efficiently load and unload materials consistently lifting 30lbs
