Statement of General Purpose:
The Summer Camp Lifeguard/Aquatics Instructor is responsible for actively monitoring the safety and wellbeing of indoor swimming activities for children in our summer camp program

Actively supervise all summer camp swimming activities within our indoor pool, ensuring the health and safety of program participants and pool guests.

Respond to potentially unsafe behaviors by immediate redirecting children and/or guests.

Respond to emergency situations and issues with the appropriate course of action (CRP, first aid, etc.).

Provide lessons, instructions, guidance, and direction in water safety, sports and exercise activities.

Ensure full compliance with all water safety rules and regulations.

Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of the pool area, pool, water, deck, staff office, locker room, and related areas and equipment; maintain a clean organized, and safe program space.

Performs related work as required.

Extensive knowledge of water safety, CPR, first aid, etc.

Knowledge of swimming pools and related equipment, including their maintenance and repair.

Knowledge of swimming pool sports and exercise activities.

Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with employees, clients, program participants, and others in a positive, pleasant, professional, and productive manner.

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Lifeguard certification
-
First Aid and CPR certification
-
Prior lifeguard experience preferred.

Ability to submit all required background checks, health screenings, and other regulatory documentation.
