McCarthy Masonry and Concrete Inc has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, organized, full-time licensed CDL Class A Driver. Driver must be able to load and transport construction equipment, and all jobsite materials from our local shop to various job locations. Responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the truck, planning each route via GPS system based on road and traffic conditions and meeting delivery schedules. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid PA CDL A driver’s license and a clean driving record. Driver will report to Quakertown Office daily.
Responsibilities
- Able to lift 80lb, load/unload/trucks and transfer equipment/materials from our shop to job sites.
- Clean driving record required and must pass a drug/alcohol test, done periodically
- Forklift experience, mechanical repairs/service a plus
- Conduct thorough inspections of the truck (e.g. fuel gauge, brakes, tires etc.). Report any issues or defects report them to the Yard Manager and management
- Complete deliveries and pick-ups to jobsites on time
- Communicate with management or jobsites (by phone, text or email) about delivery delays, problems)
- Maintain truck equipment (e.g. tires) and keep shelves clean
- Complete all IFTA paperwork/driving logs required by law
- OSHA 10, 30 preferred
- Steady work, home every night
- Top rate starting salary based on experience.
- Other job tasks as assigned
Experience
- Current licensed CDL A driver (construction)
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (truck/trailer) with high attention to safety
- Very good physical condition and stamina
