Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder to join our team and contribute to high-quality piping and welding projects across various construction and manufacturing sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand precision, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional ready to demonstrate mastery in pipefitting and welding techniques while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure materials precisely and ensure proper fitment.
- Rigging materials safely for lifting and positioning pipes or equipment during installation or maintenance activities.
- Conduct soldering, tube bending, pipe threading, and assembly tasks with accuracy while adhering to safety protocols.Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to piping and welding practices.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments involving plumbing, HVAC systems, or pipeline installation.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and perform pipe threading with precision.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting projects.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques for plumbing applications.
- Understanding of maintenance procedures for mechanical systems involving pipes or welds. Pay: From $48.75 per hour
