Director of Behavioral Health
Overview
A mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to lead mental health and substance use programs. This role provides clinical and operational oversight, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee behavioral health programs and clinic operations
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff
- Oversee Medicaid billing, documentation, and compliance
- Ensure grant, contract, and program deliverables are met
- Provide clinical support, including intake coverage and crisis response
- Build partnerships with community and healthcare providers
- Analyze program data and prepare required reports
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
- Active clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LCPC)
- 5+ years of behavioral health experience, including 2+ years in leadership
- Experience with Medicaid billing and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care

Pay: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
