```Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to produce precision parts. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions
- Perform basic math calculations to determine machine settings and measurements
- Inspect finished parts for quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Maintain machine tools by cleaning and lubricating them regularly
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and perform minor repairs when needed
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques and processes
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for machine settings
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
- Experience with CNC programming is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling and power tools
- Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a plus
