Job Purpose
The MPS Equipment Sales representative is responsible for driving revenue by selling and leasing crushing, screening, washing, drilling, and conveying equipment to customers in the areas of West Texas. This role serves as a trusted advisor to mining and aggregate producers, providing tailored equipment solutions that improve operational efficiency and productivity. The representative will be the face of ROMCO’s Materials Processing Systems (MPS) division in this key territory, building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in the West Texas markets.
- Promote and sell equipment from industry-leading brands such as Sandvik, McLanahan, Keestrack, Phoenix, and Kafka.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Prepare and present professional proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities using CRM tools.
- Attend trade shows, training sessions, and manufacturer events to stay informed on product offerings and industry trends.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability requirements
- Strong understanding of aggregate and mining equipment applications, including portable and stationary systems.
- Proven ability to manage a sales territory independently and efficiently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and match equipment solutions to customer needs.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and integrity.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) within West Texas
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the aggregate equipment industry or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success in selling, renting, or leasing heavy equipment.
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
This job operates in an office and field environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Frequent travel is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
This position routinely requires use of personal or company vehicles on company business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. Employees in this position will be subject to random Motor Vehicle Record and alcohol and drug testing as a condition of continued employment.
