We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist with hospital experience to work within one of our Highly Reputable Hospitals located in the Palm Desert, CA area. Phlebotomist Requirements:
- MUST have at least 1 year of experience working as a Phlebotomist within an acute Hospital or clinical lab setting.
- Must have experience with a high volume of blood draws per day.
- MUST have experience with inpatient and outpatient
- Perform venipuncture and skin puncture and pre-analytical and post-analytical steps of laboratory testing
- Select the appropriate phlebotomy technique relative to the age and physical maturation of the patient
- Assesses the quality of blood to be drawn from the patient based on the patient's age, physical maturation and the test or study to be performed
- Properly labels sample(s) and transports to laboratory or Clinical Laboratory Scientist as required
- Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of supplies and reagents
- All Shifts are available
- MUST be flexible to work weekends
- MUST have a CPT Certification
- BLS CPR required - AHA
