Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with the dogs throughout the day, ensuring their well-being and happiness while maintaining a clean and organized facility. Ideal candidates will have experience in animal handling and a love for dogs, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including regular cleaning of kennels and play spaces.
- Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns to management.
- Assist with feeding, administering medication, and providing basic grooming as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist in training dogs in basic commands and socialization skills.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large bags of dog food or cleaning equipment.
Experience
Candidates should possess one or more of the following skills or experiences:
- Dog training experience
- Veterinary experience (technician or assistant)
- Pet grooming knowledge
- Pet sitting experience
- Kennel experience
- Strong animal handling skills, including restraint techniques
- Customer service experience
