American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring Impella and CRRT/NxStage experience, Epic proficiency, and a Louisiana or Compact RN license.

Hospital ICU setting with potential float to all ICUs, ED, or PACU to care for ICU-level patients, and occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 ratio

Standard patient ratio is 1:2, which may flex to 1:3

Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and line starts
-
Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Stations, and Veratron Bladder Scanners

Epic EMR experience is required

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule

No on-call requirements

Active Louisiana (LA) or Compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; CVICU experience highly preferred

Impella experience required
-
CRRT/NxStage experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration

Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

All nurses are expected to care for isolation patients, including potential COVID-19 patients; candidates should know their N95 mask size

CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for a $100 fee if not already held
-
RTO is limited to 5 days total for the duration of the contract

Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for consideration
