Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive endodontic procedures including root canal treatments, retreatments, and apicoectomies with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop effective treatment plans
- Utilize advanced dental technology such as digital radiography and medical imaging tools to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations for all patient records
- Collaborate seamlessly with general dentists and specialists in procedures like dental implants, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics, and infection control protocols
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control standards rigorously to ensure patient safety during all procedures
- Educate patients on treatment options, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance to foster trust and promote long-term wellness
Skills
- Proficiency in endodontic techniques including root canal therapy, re-treatment procedures, and apicoectomies
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes
- Experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes
- Skilled in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures
- Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and the use of dental implants or oral surgery tools when necessary
- Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically
- Ability to adhere strictly to infection control standards and maintain high levels of aseptic technique throughout all treatments
