Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety protocols. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes while ensuring that all meals meet our dietary standards and customer expectations. This position plays a crucial role in our restaurant and catering services, contributing to menu planning and overall meal satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Help train new kitchen staff on grilling techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques.
- Strong skills in meal preparation, including grilling, frying, and sautéing methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- Familiarity with catering operations is a plus, along with experience in menu planning.
- A culinary degree or certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
