Duties and responsibilities include the following, with additional duties as assigned:
- Prepare and fill blister packs with accurate patient prescription information
- Maintain precise records of medications dispensed
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow
- Protect patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company standards
- Keep work areas clean and organized according to pharmacy guidelines
- Monitor and maintain inventory; assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Receive, stock, and log incoming medications and products
- Participate in required training and team events
Requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services - Pharmacy Examining Board
1. Age and Education - Application satisfies one of the following:
- The applicant is at least 18 years of age and has graduated from high school or has attained high school graduation equivalence as determines by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
- The application is enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program for pharmacy technicians that is on the list of youth apprenticeship programs approved by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) under Wis. Stat § 106.132m).
2. Application submitted via the Department's online credentialing system LicenseE.
3. Fee(s) paid in the Department's online credentialing system LicensE. (Initial credential fee is $30.00.)
4. Malpractice Suits or Claims (Form #2829) and copies of malpractice suit, court documents with allegations, and settlement, if applicable.
5. Convictions and Pending Charges (Form #2252), if applicable. (There is an $8 additional fee if this form is submitted.)
