Title: HR Generalist Department: Human Resources

Overview: Provide a concise overview of the role's purpose and primary responsibilities.
Reporting the Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Generalist will partner with a department (ex: Warehouse/Transportation/Corporate) Leaders in assuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes, policies and services. Duties will include coaching manager, anticipating needs in the areas of organization design, performance management, employee relations, hiring, on-boarding, communication, and training.

- Manage full-cycle talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Oversee employee orientation programs and facilitate ongoing training & development initiatives to enhance workforce skills.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and retirement plans, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Support performance management processes through employee evaluations and feedback systems.
- Handle employee relations issues with effective conflict management and resolution strategies.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, and affirmative action planning requirements.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data entry and manage HR data collection for reporting purposes using systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro.
- Assist in organizational design and change management projects to optimize workforce efficiency.
- Support HR sourcing efforts through social media management and other recruiting channels.
- Administer contracts, policies, and procedures related to HR operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives related to talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role with comprehensive knowledge of human resources management practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or Ceridian is preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment & labor law (FMLA, workers' compensation), OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies to lead HR initiatives effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) like iCIMS or Taleo is advantageous. - Performs routine tasks required to administer and deliver human resource programs including, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and assists with development of corporate, department and individual training.
- Facilitates and/or supports the delivery of training as needed (could include compliance, manager, compensation, etc.).
- Helps to compose and distribute written communication to employees on a variety of topics: benefits, policy updates, COVID protocols, etc.
- Assures HRIS and data reflects accurate state of company and employees. Assures complex and/or sensitive matters are brought to the appropriate staff.

Education and Experience: Matches the Job Architecture Level Descriptors – and specific to functional area
- Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
- Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Spanish Speaking strongly preferred especially in departments that support the front line such as warehouse and transportation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing / distribution department preferred.

Work Environment:
- Sedentary work under a hybrid schedule – 3 days a week in office.
