FrameworkLTC Experience Preferred
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our growing Long-Term Care pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while serving assisted living facilities and other long-term care communities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy operations, with FrameworkLTC experience strongly preferred. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, communication, and maintaining excellent relationships with healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, allergies, dosing, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform pharmacist verification and oversee the dispensing process for LTC patients.
- Work within FrameworkLTC and related pharmacy technology systems to manage prescriptions, patient profiles, refill cycles, and medication changes.
- Review new admissions, hospital discharge orders, medication changes, cycle-fill prescriptions, and STAT/urgent medication requests.
- Communicate professionally with assisted living facilities, physicians, nurses, med-techs, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication and prescription issues.
- Provide clinical guidance regarding medication therapy, drug interactions, dosing, substitutions, and formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff while maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Florida Board of Pharmacy, DEA, HIPAA, federal, and state requirements.
- Assist with controlled-substance procedures, prescription documentation, inventory management, and quality assurance.
- Help identify workflow improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and service quality.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to our LTC facility partners.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License required.
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Long-Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
- FrameworkLTC experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic medication administration records (eMAR), EHR/EMR systems, or LTC pharmacy integrations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of prescription verification, controlled substances, medication safety, and pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with pharmacists, technicians, physicians, nurses, facility staff, and management.
