Job Description
Hunterdon Hematology Oncology is a private medical practice that specializes in chemotherapy, infusions, and radiation treatments, as well as innovative treatments like immunotherapy and personalized targeted therapy to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.
We are seeking a reliable, full-time AR Specialist to join our billing team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. The AR Specialist will work closely with our AR team and the Revenue Cycle Manager to resolve billing issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls from insurance companies and other third parties.
- Process claims through our claim management system.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of all accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection of all payments due from the customer.
- Review denials and rejections from payers.
- Identify trends and other suggestions for process improvement.
- Ensure follow-ups on denied claims occur in a timely manner.
- Research rejected claims.
- Resubmit all claims denied due to submission issues.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all billing-related documents.
- Ensure that all customers are billed promptly and are satisfied with the service provided.
- Identify and communicate payer updates and changes to the team.
- Provide expertise in resolving rejections and denials through corrections and appeals.
- Identify issues with internal and client processes and escalate when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of AR Billing experience
- Knowledge of commercial payers
- Microsoft Office
- Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask
- Detail-oriented
- ICD-10 experience (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
