Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such as square POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the food prep area, dining space, and equipment in compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Manage food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and restocking supplies to keep the truck organized and efficient.
- Handle cash accurately, perform basic math calculations for transactions, and balance register at shift end.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurant environments is preferred but not required; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between food prep, serving, and cashier duties.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
