Roll Forming Technician Job Summary
At SDE, we're excited to introduce this new dedicated position as part of our continued growth. Driven by strong demand in our Solar Carport product line, we've experienced significant growth in sales and are expanding our manufacturing operations to meet customer needs. To support our current backlog and anticipated demand throughout 2026, we will be operating two roll forming lines on a consistent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in our manufacturing success.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roll Forming Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining roll forming equipment to produce high-quality metal components while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate roll forming machines according to production schedules and engineering specifications.
- Perform tooling changeovers, machine adjustments, and equipment calibrations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance and assist with repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S).
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality departments to improve processes and productivity.
- Train and mentor less experienced operators when required.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience operating or setting up roll forming equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Preferred
- Experience with automotive or metal fabrication manufacturing.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
