The Assistant Club Director at Legends Barbell will assist in the day-to-day club operations, manage and oversee service teams, and collaborate with the Club Director to foster an inclusive environment for both members and staff. The Assistant Club Director will lead by example, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed while working to enhance both team and member experiences. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and farewell each member, prospective member, and guest with warmth and energy, ensuring a positive first impression
- Learn member names to create a personalized experience.
- Represent the club with professionalism, both in and out of the facility, consistently modeling hospitality and service excellence.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the club's standard operating procedures and policies
- Handle cash and ensure accurate accounting of all transactions.
- Assist the Club Director in effectively communicating and implementing procedures and policies to the team.
- Collaborate with the Club Director to ensure the club maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Promote a collaborative environment across club functions, leveraging the unique strengths and experiences of the team to deliver outstanding results.
- Serve as the elevated point of contact for member concerns, and feedback, ensuring all member interactions are handled promptly and professionally.
- Work in a team environment to meet member needs.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for fitness, health, and wellness.
- Punctual and reliable.
- CPR and AED certification preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in the retail, hospitality, or operations industry, particularly in roles requiring high levels of team leadership and customer service in environments with high employee and/or customer turnover.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, etc.
- Please note: This role will require some holiday and weekend shift coverage.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate club systems.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to problem-solve.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing organizational needs..
- Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- Demonstrates professionalism and diplomacy in all interactions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to high noise levels due to music, equipment and member activity.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to engage actively with team members and members on a daily basis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.50 - $32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
