OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN
IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME POSITION available for a motivated ophthalmic technician (COT or COA preferred, but not mandatory) with minimum one year's experience in a dynamic specialty ophthalmology practice. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, good interpersonal relations and ability to work as a team member. Computer literacy necessary. Diagnostic capabilities include ability to accurately test vision, glare and contrast sensitivity, perform refractions, pupillometry, keratometry, corneal topography, OCT/VF tests, A-scan, Lenstar, U/S pachymetry, specular microscopy and fundus photography. Hours are flexible depending on clinic schedule and ancillary duties. Will be able to assist surgeon with in-office surgery (no surgical experience required - will train on-the-job). Knowledge of or experience in sterile technique a plus. Benefits and salary commensurate with experience and certification, but hourly pay range $15 to $25 per hour.
